Humans are not everlasting. We move in rhythm with the natural world, capable of both blossom and frost, fragility and strength, beginning and end.
I immigrated to the States from my home, Ukraine at the age of nine, carrying with me a deep rooted understanding of our impermanence. Having been born in a country that has been fighting for survival and freedom, I have witnessed a great deal of destruction.
I am motivated to oppose this state of being and instead create art that cultivates a connective space for humans and to acknowledge that humanity is rooted in the natural world.
